♻️Season 19/20 Take Away Notes♻️

Hello everyone, hope you are having great FPL-Free time and nice break to get to the new season with good-mentality and great motivation 👀.
This is my first blog to share with you before getting into the new season and there will be a lot of these!
so i hope you read it and give me full opinion 🙏.
This Blog consider to be the most important one before we get into the new season and i will pin it to my profile so lot people can read it.
""Some Notes"" I Have learned from this season and wanted to share it with you maybe someone can benefit from it. Wish you all good time reading and good luck ❤

1-Your Premium options are your Gold so be patient with them.
After reading a great threads by @FPL_Swe about the top ranking managers thoughts and plans for the season,i realized how much it means to be patient with players like Salah/KDB/Jimenez/TAA,.etc the known proved players to provide in consistent form, when other managers Will be selling them, they can easily be differential picks for the armband, its important to see stats and form on your keeping decision as well as team form and injury situation.some maybe just under-performing and they WILL explode soon,so my advice is to keep patient when signs are there and fix other problems on your team.

2-This is old school tip but it seems necessary yet again, Don't TAKE HITS unless your players are Injured or suspended..etc. on these situations, you can make your team better.on usual basis, try as much as you can to lower your hits for a season, as example I have taken -24 all season, some of them backfired me and some helped, yet the ones that helped was on captain target and injured players! When i sold fit players for -4 ,the player i sold both scored and the new ones score the week after so that could have been much better if i kept wise and saved FT for the week after, this happens when you suddenly decide to get rid of Jimenez and Son to get Foden and Ings 😅.On paper it was great move, but for a Hit it cost me lot points,so my advice is to think outside the box and see what fits your team best.

3-When you buy a keeper as "set and forget" just do set and forget despite fixtures don't waste your transfers on keepers unless your team is MEGA Good and hold until you activate your Wild Card then change whatever you want and change him. early this season i was sticking To Nick Pope and i was happy, then his fixtures was  all red against top sides so i did -4 to get M.Ryan,Pope ended up saving Penalties and Doing Clean Sheets for fun while it was all 2 pointers for Ryan. Couldn't regret more.

4-Don't Ignore shield picks on you FPL team, they will damage you and hurt your rank, the Average points literally depend on their performance! I have burned by this by praying game after game for Bruno to blank because i went Martial, Rashford and W.Bissaka as ManUnited triple assets, on some Game weeks it will pay But mostly will cost you a lot of points for their effective ownership and captaincy percentage , so to make a successful FPL Season ,Make your team as perfect combination of both SHIELD picks and Differentials, 3 or 4 of those that can increase your rank without hurting you
especially at the beginning of the season,I Have a friend that was on the beginning of the season going on "IT WILL BE FIRMINO'S SEASON" and because he believed that he went without Salah and that ended up to be one of the worst captaincy decisions,Its important to build balanced team at the beginning of the season so you are not left behind and can make an impact with your differentials decisions that will not HURT YOU.

5-Always Stick to a PLAN unless you have "special situations". Usually your thinking process without panic circumstances is the best, one way or another you will see that your original plan makes points more than knee-jerk actions you take under stress so whatever happens try as hard as you can to stick to your plan unless there is emergency situation in your team (Player got suspended , Injured..etc).That will make the best out of your decisions and you can achieve rule 1 to be patient with your transfer decisions,Will Make YOU remember why you picked those players on the first place.

6-Never Ever Ever back the early kick-off game for a CAPTAIN choice (Don't Ignore Gandhi even if it seems appealing). It will hurt you more than making you happy, when he blanks, you will be ending up praying for a players to blank even your own players So you can live without captaining early kick-off option but when he blanks you will lose joy in every game after it regretting your decision.

7-FORM over FIXTURES, I think the most precious lesson we got from this season that to target players with hard games on paper is better than players against teams that park the BUS and defend by 11 players. One example of that that happened with me and lot of managers is Danny Ings, I bought him in my team as a differential very early against Norwich and Watford and he scored and had an amazing form and stats, his ownership was growing and his fixtures got a little bit tricky so i ditched him,Fatal Mistake as he continued his form and became "essential" game after game and I ended up praying for him to blank and I got him first when he had 2% ownership. remember,FORM over FIXTURE and by that i mean the TEAM and the PLAYER form as the team is important to help him provide.

8-Captaincy is so important in the game, on a bad Game Week, your captain can save your rank and turn your red arrows to green ones, these picks rarely follow numbers and stats, you need to do your research then trust your gut with it, its mostly a feeling rather than numbers,Try to locate your captain as an early plan and do research all over again every week to confirm your selection. then at the end of the season you see how much difference it could make, my captaincy picks were average and pretty much bad this season by 430 points,my total points is good 2309. But at the end when you see players like @TheFPLviking earning almost 700 points from his picks, it can be wild change to your rank! Imagine if we got picks like Viking we could have finished by top 10 around in the world ! That's Massive! So my advice is to always put a target for your season with these picks and try to reach it as hard as you can, good FPL target can be 500-600 points from captaincy picks, see how much it will change your rank and your feeling about your season.

9-Don't make a transfer of players of the same team where its 50/50 scoring chance for both, usually the one you get will blank and the one you sold scores. I have seen it a lot this year with people selling Bruno for Martial and Salah for Manè..etc this move will cost you a transfer and possible points,so trust your decision and remember the reason WHY you picked this one and it will come around sooner or later if your player is fit.although every rule has it's exceptions and the stats of the player and his form situation in the team will determine if he will catch the other player or a SWAB is the right choice.
as example, after the restart MAHREZ and STERLING were getting similar play time and whether you get Mahrez or Raheem you will get points game after game,so at that time keeping Mahrez was the right call as it was similar chances to score FPL points. after some Game weeks we saw that Mahrez started to get benched again for lot of games for Foden,so a swab to FODEN/STERLING was the best move,so keep up seeing stats and situation of your player,If he isn't an Exception,HE WILL RETURN YOU POINTS.

10-Last Minute Captain change usually ruins your game week, trust your selection and your OWN research, this is an important point, your faith will be returned if it was by your OWN gut feeling and OWN research DON'T COPY ANYONE'S CAPTAIN,When you choose a player for the armband after doing that, just stuck to it.Destiny Don't like shaky people just go with it and it will come around.

11-The Premier League is 38 round and 38 different decisions and 38 different Captain choices, Don't blame yourself and be hard on yourself if you do it wrong one week, at the end when you are on round 37 as example you WILL not care that your Game Week 3 Captain blanked, Just make better decision in the weeks you have left and always look to the futur.
At the end you have a SPECIFIC Target, make a plan that will get you there without regret AND enjoy the ride 💙.

ONE LAST NOTE-FPL is a hard game with hard combination of luck, strategy, use of stats and numbers, confidence, prediction and experience is adapted season after season, every manager even the #1 makes mistakes by transfers and captain blanks, but DISCIPLINE to get minimum amount of mistakes is what makes you a good manager. At the end of the day, we love FPL for those reasons but its only a GAME, Don't let it affect your daily life and work, study, family time and mood..etc.Its not up to you,Its up to the players and their commitment and how god made a plan for them, NOT for you! You only guess and you WILL have Highs and Lows and you will get through it all.

THIS IS THE END OF MY FIRST EVER FPL ARTICLE I HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING,
